Show Marquee
The Marquee is the heart of the Show. It is where all the competition classes are held – 200 different classes covering Vegetables, Flowers, Fruit, Floral Exhibits, Cookery, Photography, Arts & Crafts, and many Children’s classes. A list of the different classes can be found in the Schedule.
The Ockley Cup is a special class which invites groups of friends, families, clubs, and even our local pubs to join forces and create a joint exhibit. This year’s theme is “100 Years of Television,” marking a remarkable anniversary that’s sure to spark plenty of nostalgia and creativity.
The Ockley Cup was originally presented by the Ockley WI, and remains a popular competition category at the Show. Whether you’re a seasoned exhibitor or just fancy joining in the fun, there’s always room for new faces and fresh ideas. This is a craft project in any medium. Maximum size 100cm (39”) in any direction.
Looking back, the Ockley Cup in 1979 was awarded for a heartfelt display: ‘a welcome home for a new mum’ – complete with homemade cakes, a posy of flowers, and a lovingly crafted baby garment. It’s moments like these that remind us of the warmth and generosity that make our villages so special.
The printed Schedule is delivered to 800 households locally and is also available in many shops and garden centres in the area from June onwards.
Why not enter a few of the classes and see if you can get a first, second or third in class? Winners win £2 for first in class, £1.50 for second in class and £1 for third in class, for both adult and children’s classes.
HOW TO ENTER
There are three ways to enter your exhibit in the Marquee:

- If you have received a copy of the Schedule, you can fill in the entry form and once completed, put it in an envelope along with your total entry fees and deliver it at one of the drop off addresses listed in the Schedule.
