Requirements
Open to Any Exhibitor.
Vase of mixed flowers of between FIVE and TEN stems of at least TWO different kinds. (Varieties of the same plant will NOT be allowed.)
The display will consist of between five and ten stems, taken from a minimum of TWO different kinds of plants, which must show flowers only, no seed heads or berries allowed.
It will be judged out of a total of 35 points: 25 for colour, form, condition, quality and freshness; 10 for overall presentation and effect in the vase. Fresh, home grown flowers only should be used.
The vase will be viewed from all directions. No marks will be awarded for the vase.
Judging will be to normal Royal Horticultural Society rules.
A vase is a vessel that can hold flowers and is taller than it is wide, at its widest point.
It must be in proportion to the display. No accessories allowed.
Foliage growing naturally from, and still attached to the stem will be allowed.
No dried or silk flowers.
Packing material, including florist’s foam, to keep stems in place is allowed.
Points awarded will be clearly marked on the exhibitors’ cards.
